Content Collaboration

At NovaStar IPTV, we’re building a resource hub that genuinely helps people navigate the shift from traditional cable to modern streaming. Our guides, tools, and articles are used by thousands of readers every month who are making real decisions about how they watch television.

We occasionally feature perspectives from industry professionals, streaming enthusiasts, and technology experts whose experience adds something our readers can’t get anywhere else. If that sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.

The Kind of Content That Fits Here

We’re selective about what we publish because our readers trust us to filter out noise and deliver substance. Here’s what earns a spot on NovaStar IPTV:

Original, experience-based insight. We don’t publish content that reads like a rewritten version of page-one Google results. If your piece doesn’t include something drawn from personal experience, professional expertise, or original research, it’s not the right fit. Our readers can find surface-level information anywhere — they come here for depth.

Practical value that leads to action. Every piece we publish should leave the reader knowing something they can actually use — a setup tip they haven’t tried, a comparison framework that clarifies a confusing decision, a technical explanation that makes a complex topic click. Informational content is fine, but it needs to be actionable, not academic.

A natural voice that sounds like a real person wrote it. We don’t publish content that reads like it was generated by AI and submitted without editing. We don’t publish keyword-stuffed articles designed to rank rather than help. And we don’t publish thinly disguised promotional pieces for products or services. If it wouldn’t pass a conversation test — meaning you wouldn’t say it out loud to someone asking for advice — it needs more work.

Topics Within Our Scope

Our editorial focus sits at the intersection of streaming technology, cord cutting, and home entertainment. Content that fits naturally within these areas is what we consider:

Streaming technology and how it’s evolving. Device setup, optimization, and troubleshooting across platforms. The economics of cord cutting — cost analysis, savings strategies, and value comparison. Home network optimization for streaming performance. Privacy and security considerations for streaming users. Entertainment industry trends that affect how people consume content. Smart home integration with streaming setups.

We don’t cover topics outside the streaming and entertainment technology space. Content about unrelated niches — regardless of quality — won’t be considered.

    Editorial Standards

Every piece published under the NovaStar IPTV name meets the same standard, whether written by our team or a contributor:

Depth over length. We don’t set minimum word counts because word count isn’t a quality metric. A focused 1,200-word piece that covers a topic thoroughly is better than a padded 3,000-word article that circles the same point repeatedly. That said, most topics worth covering here need at least 1,500 words to do justice.

Accuracy matters. Claims need to be current and verifiable. Outdated statistics, incorrect technical details, or misleading comparisons get caught in our editorial review — and they disqualify a submission regardless of how well it’s written.

Formatting that respects the reader’s time. Clear heading structure, short paragraphs, logical flow from one section to the next. No walls of text. No unnecessary filler paragraphs. No conclusions that simply repeat the introduction.

    The Collaboration Process

This isn’t an open submission form where you upload an article and wait. We work more like an editorial publication:

Step 1 — Pitch your idea. Send us a brief email with your proposed topic, a two to three sentence summary of what angle you’d take, and a link to one or two published pieces that show your writing quality. We don’t need a full draft at this stage.

Step 2 — We review and respond. If the topic fits our editorial calendar and the writing quality meets our standard, we’ll confirm the topic and share any specific notes or angles we’d like you to cover. If it’s not the right fit, we’ll let you know — we don’t leave pitches hanging.

Step 3 — You write, we edit. Submit your completed draft. Our editorial team reviews it for accuracy, readability, formatting, and alignment with our audience. We may request revisions. Once finalized, we schedule it for publication.

Step 4 — Publication and attribution. Your piece goes live with a brief author bio that identifies you and your area of expertise. We promote published content through our channels alongside our own editorial work.

    What We Don't Accept

    To Save Us Both Time

We respect your time as much as ours, so here’s what we pass on immediately:

Content that’s been published elsewhere — even partially. We only feature original work that hasn’t appeared on other websites, Medium, LinkedIn articles, or any other platform.

Promotional pieces disguised as articles. If the primary purpose of the content is to promote a product, service, or company, it’s not editorial — it’s advertising. We keep those separate.

AI-generated content submitted without substantial human editing, original insight, and personal expertise layered in. We can tell, and so can our readers.

Content outside our niche. We stay focused on streaming, cord cutting, and entertainment technology. Off-topic pitches — however well-written — don’t fit our publication.

Mass-distributed pitches. If your email is clearly a template sent to 200 websites, we’ll pass. We work with people who’ve actually looked at what we publish and understand our audience.
